Audio description

Audio description enables people with visual impairments to fully experience films and programmes. As an “audio film version”, it supplements the original with a spoken description of the images – without overlapping the dialogue. WDR mediagroup GmbH produces such versions not only for WDR, but also on behalf of external partners.

Our editorial team develops a coordinated script that describes visual information such as scene changes, gestures and facial expressions precisely and sensitively. The audio description is professionally narrated and technically embedded to a high standard – for a harmonious listening experience.
